The Virtual Machine which has been provided for this course uses VirtualBox. Download and install the latest version. The Virtual Machine is hosted on pi.cs.oswego.edu. Use a tool such as FileZilla which supports connecting via SFTP and connect to this host using the same username and password you use on the CS lab computers. Be sure to use port 22. Navigate to:
/home/dschlege/CSC241VM
and download the file CSC241_VM_Fall18.ova
Once downloaded, open VirtualBox and choose File -> Import Appliance. Import the downloaded file.
Before starting the VM you will need to download and install the Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack from this page. This will enable features like USB 2.0 and 3.0 which could be quite helpful depending on your workflow.
